Germanischer Lloyd (GL) is a ship classification society and an international inspection, certification and technical consultancy company.

Both business fields follow the same approach of technical competence, uncompromising quality and first-class services around the world.

The company with its head office in Hamburg (Germany) employs more than 5,300 engineers, surveyors, experts and administrative staff in 77 countries. The global network consists of more than 200 stations and site offices around the globe.

Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) is a ship classification society dedicated to safeguarding life and property at sea, and to preventing marine pollution.

ClassNK surveys ships and other marine structures to ensure their full compliance with classification rules developed by the Society.

The Society also conducts statutory surveys on behalf of flag States.

Other activities include technical consulting, quality and environmental system assessments, and cutting-edge R&D.

At some 162m gt, ClassNK is the only classification society in the world with more than 160m gt under class.

ClassNK supports clients 24/7 through a network of 104 offices across the globe.

Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA) at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) is a premier training institution in the region. For over 50 years, the academy has produced competent personnel to meet the demand of manpower in the maritime and transportation industries. Our graduates hold various key positions in every sector of the maritime industry.

The Singapore Maritime Academy offers a comprehensive range of training programmes which include 3 full-time diploma courses in Nautical Studies, Marine Engineering and Maritime Business.
