The family maritime enterprise dates back six generations: it was founded in 1850 at Torre del Greco, Naples, by Captain Giovanni Bottiglieri, great grandfather of Giuseppe Bottiglieri, who is now leading the company. In 2007 Giuseppe Bottiglieri di Navigazione SpA, with 160 employees working ashore and onboard vessels, is worth an annual turnover of € 220 million, generated 18 million tons of dry cargoes and 6 million tons of petroleum products carried. The company sails all over the world with 4 owned product tankers (all double-hull - type IMO II) and with 35 modern chartered bulkcarriers. Between 2009 and 2011 the owned fleet will be tripled thanks to an order for 10 Post Panamax new buildings of 92.500 dwt, that will be delivered by the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu Yangzijiang.

Giuseppe Bottiglieri has been operating in the Italian shipping cluster for 40 years: he is Vice Chairman of Intercargo, Chairman of the Oceanic Navigation Committee of Confitarma, Director of the UK P&I Club, Board Member of Intertanko and Member of Bimco Documentary Committee.

One of the world's most prominent and diversified realities in marine engineering, with over 7,000 ships built over 200 years of history, Fincantieri is the heir of the great Italian shipbuilding tradition. The company is the world leader in the building of cruise ships, with a market share which since 1995 has never been below 25%, with peaks reaching over 60%. RINA S.p.A. is the operational company of Registro Italiano Navale, founded in Genova in 1861. The organisational structure includes the parent company RINA S.p.A., which operates in the marine, certification and services for industry sectors, as well as 13 other associated companies.

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company

"MSC – Mediterranean Shipping Company founded in 1970, is a privately owned shipping line that has rapidly grown from a small conventional ship operator to becoming today one of the leading global shipping lines of the world. The shipping Agency "Le Navi" was founded in Genoa in the early seventies and represented important South American National Flag Companies (EME, CNP, CPV, TNE, MCP, Csav and Linabol). Even MSC selected this young organization from the very beginning and this relationship constantly grew up to the point of being exclusively represented by Le Navi (1998). Gestioni Armatoriali SpA

Gestioni Armatoriali spa was established in 1993 by Nicola Coccia, Bruno Castaldo, Gian Luca and Rossella Bazzi who brought their wealth of experience in chartering and the transportation of liquid cargoes to the business.

From 1999 onwards, as a result of successful financial management and by re-investing its profits, Gestioni Armatoriali has acquired a total of 9 double-hulled product tankers, all registered under the International Italian Registry.

In 2007 the company additionally commenced operations in the dry bulk sector and has since penned newbuilding orders for as many as 9 bulk carriers consisting of 4 Supramax units, 3 Post-panamax units and 2 Minicape units.
