American Shipping reclassifies debt

AMERICAN Shipping, the company that owns the series of 12 Aker Philadelphia product tanker newbuildings on bareboat charter to Overseas Shipholding Group, said changes to its bond agreements have allowed it to reclassify its debt as long-term, thereby alleviating pressure on its balance sheet.
