Capesize sale loss drags Star Bulk into the red

ATHENS based Star Bulk Carriers has posted third quarter results it says “exceeds expectations” despite falling to a net loss of $72.9m.
The Nasdaq-listed company took a $75m impairment loss connected with the sale of the 1992-built capesize bulker Star Alpha, which is expected to be delivered to new owners in December.
