Dirty tanker orderbook could hit 166m dwt

THE VLCC fleet has grown 1.5% this year, while the suezmax tanker fleet has expanded by 1% and aframaxes by 6.5%, writes Michelle Wiese Bockmann.

Massive ordering has seen the dirty tanker orderbook rise to reach nearly 166m dwt, or 45% of the existing fleet, according to SSY statistics.
