MALAYSIA says the Malacca Strait was piracy free last year due to joint sea and air patrols by neighbouring states, writes Marcus Hand.
Considered a hotbed of piracy just a few years ago, joint naval and air patrol by Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand have effectively stamped out piracy in one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes....
