Szczecin and Gdynia face bankruptcy over aid

Gdynia: could go bankrupt if threat is carried out.

BRUSSELS again threatened to order state aid received by two Polish shipyards to be repaid today, a threat which if made good could force them into bankruptcy.

The European Commission said it was preparing a “negative opinion” on aid to state-controlled shipyards Gdynia and Szczecin.
