Grand Esmeralda crew protest over unpaid wages claim

THE crew of a bulk carrier anchored off Geraldton is refusing to leave until a dispute over more than $140,000 of unpaid wages is resolved.

The International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) has raised concerns about the alleged underpayments to the crew of Grand Esmeralda.

The 24 Filipinos said they had not been paid since March.
