Hong Kong owners back Danish emissions compensation fund

HONG Kong shipowners have thrown their weight behind a Danish proposal to set up a compensation fund to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The plan by the Danish Maritime Authority is due to be discussed at the 59th meeting of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in July.
