Industry leaders commit to IMO’s greenhouse gas vision
The International Maritime Organization’s environmental plight has garnered significant commercial support just before international negotiators descend upon London. Thirty four major maritime companies from across the board threw their weight and assistance behind the GHG strategy and urged the development of zero carbon fuels and adoption of low carbon technologies
Maersk, Euronav, GasLog, Trafigura, Cargill and IRISL are among those who pledge to support the IMO in achieving at least 50% reduction in GHG emissions by 2050
