Bumi Armada and Navigator form UK carbon capture joint venture
The deal to create Bluestreak CO2, which is in its preliminary agreement stage, marks the first shipping partnership into the UK carbon capture sector
The joint venture will design and implement a chain of shuttle tankers delivering to a floating carbon storage and injection unit. Targeting emitters who have no access to pipeline infrastructure, the partners say this comprises a potential market size of over 30m tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum in the UK alone
