London International Shipping Week kicks off on September 11. Our experts will be showcasing their knowledge and speaking to thought leaders in key areas such as decarbonisation, sanctions compliance and shipping operations

THIS year’s London International Shipping Week runs from September 11-15 with a packed schedule of forums, workshops, roundtables and receptions.

Lloyd’s List will be front and centre as usual at many events throughout the week. You can catch up with the industry thought leaders through our daily podcast, in association with classification society DNV.

LISW Shipping Risk Forum

September 11, 9-3:30pm

Lloyd’s List editor-in-chief Richard Meade will be a moderator for the 2nd edition of the Shipping Risk Forum, organised by Maritime London in partnership with the International Group of P&I Clubs, International Underwriting Association, London & International Insurance Brokers Association and Lloyd’s Market Association.

The forum brings together the London marine insurance and global shipping communities to examine how insurers are providing solutions to the key issues facing the maritime sector.

Lloyd’s List is also the media partner for this event.

 

Shipping and decarbonisation: An inconvenient truth?

September 11, 3-6pm

Richard Meade will also feature on the panel of this event with James Hookham, director, Global Shippers Forum, Dr Lucy Gilliam, senior shipping policy officer, Seas at Risk and Alisdair Pettigrew, managing director and co-founder, BLUE Communications. The session will be moderated by Lloyd’s List editorial board member Amie Pascoe, director of BLUE Communications.

Capital Link’s 15th Annual Shipping & Marine Services Forum

Michelle Wiese Bockmann will join this panel looking at gender diversity in the maritime sector along with Sarah Kenny OBE (BMT), Katharina Stanzel (Intertanko), Anastassia Tcherneva (ABN AMRO Bank) and Ian Hampton (Stena Line).
