Palau-flagged ship detained in Haifa for ‘inhuman’ conditions released to undergo repairs

The ship has been released from detention and will sail to a shipyard in Türkiye, according to Palau registry

ITF inspector Assaf Hadar described broken sanitation facilities and stench of rotten meat on board the Palau-flagged general cargoship Serafina. ‘In four years of inspecting ships for the ITF in Israel, I have never seen anything this bad,’ he said. The ship has been allowed to depart Haifa to undergo repairs, according to the Palau registry
