Intership and Interorient merge to form InterMaritime Shipmanagement
Consolidation includes Intership’s sister company Donnelly Tanker Management
The new company will manage a fleet of more than 170 vessels including LPG carriers, bulkers and containerships
TWO shipmanagement companies have united to form a new company that will manage more than 150 vessels.
Intership Navigation and Interorient Shipmanagement will form InterMaritime Shipmanagement in a merger that also includes Intership’s sister company Donnelly Tanker Management.
The new company will manage some 170 vessels, including LPG carriers, bulkers, containerships and multipurpose vessels.
Intership Navigation and Donnelly Tanker Management chief executive Dieter Rohdenburg said the merger “represents a significant milestone in our journey as shipmanager”.
Interorient chief executive Themis Papadopoulos said it was “a testament to our shared values and vision for the future”.
“Together, we are confident that InterMaritime Shipmanagement will set new industry benchmarks, delivering the highest standards of service and operational efficiency,” he said.
The merger follows OSM Thome’s purchase of Torvald Klaveness’ shipmanagement business that OSM Thome said would give Klaveness Combination Carriers better access to technical resources.
