CMA CGM will work with the Saudi investment and transport ministries on port and logistics developments.
Chief executive Rodolphe Saadé signed an MOU during a visit to Saudi Arabia by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The French container line said the deal reinforces its presence in the Red Sea region.
“The shared ambition is to position CMA CGM as a key player in Saudi Arabia’s port and logistics strategy, contributing to the goals of Vision 2030 and the country’s economic diversification programme,” a statement said.
CMA CGM has three offices and 11 weekly services in Saudi ports such as Jeddah, Dammam and Jubail. Its subsidiary CEVA Logistics set up a joint venture with supply chain provider Al-Majdouie in October to expand its logistics network in the country.
