Ian Beveridge to hand over executive management of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement to Sebastian von Hardenberg with effect from January 2025
HAMBURG-headquartered Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement has confirmed that Ian Beveridge will hand over executive management of the company to former chief financial officer Sebastian von Hardenberg.
Effective from January 1 2025, BSM said that Beveridge will remain chief executive of parent company The Schulte Group. He will continue to support BSM as chairman of the company’s board.
“As the long-standing chief financial officer of BSM and current vice-president of InterManager, Sebastian knows the company and the industry exceptionally well and has built a proven track record in various positions within the Schulte Group,” said Beveridge.
Von Hardenberg has been with Schulte Group since 2005 and from 2006 to 2009 he served as head of controlling at Bernhard Schulte, the ship owning division of the Schulte Group, prior to taking up the role of financial director at BSM Germany.
Following several roles at BSM’s overseas offices in Hong Kong, Cyprus and Singapore, Von Hardenberg was appointed chief financial officer of BSM in 2015.
BSM manages a fleet of some 670 ships and employs 25,000 seafarers and 2,000 personnel ashore.
