Houthi’s key port for fuel imports destroyed, says Centcom

  • Ras Isa is the Houthis’ main hub for imports of LPG and refined products
  • ‘Today, US forces took action to eliminate this source of fuel for the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists’ Centcom said on X
  • Houthis imported over 700,000 tonnes of LPG — almost all of it from Iran — since they began attacking ships in the Red Sea in November 2023
  • AIS data showed vessels leaving their berths in the hours following Centcom’s announcement

US Central Command said on Thursday that it has destroyed the Houthi-controlled port of Ras Isa, a critical hub for the Yemeni faction’s imports of energy commodities
