Batu Aji Police Chief Raden Bimo Dwi Lambang said the four victims were in the vessel’s tanks making repairs when the blaze began. The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.
Because of restricted access to the yard, police said firefighting and evacuation efforts were conducted by the yard’s internal safety personnel, Indonesia national media outlet Antara reported.
The condition of the survivors was such they were unable to be questioned yet, Raden said.
