Thomas Miller Group subsidiary Condon Claims Management has moved to strengthen its position in the US market with the acquisition of Marine Claims Associates.

Condon said the acquisition marked a “strategic milestone” for as the firm continued to broaden its presence in the US market, and would enable it to offer greater claims management and adjusting services in the maritime, logistics, energy and construction sectors.

“Having the knowledge and experience to broaden our services is essential in today’s modern marine landscape,” said Condon Claims Management chief executive Steve Condon.

“From conducting site investigations and gathering key witness statements to assessing the cause of issues and recommending appropriate actions, it is critical we deliver the very best support to both maritime companies and seafarers during challenging times.”

Marine Claims Associates’ experience in handling P&I claims would enhance Condon Claims Managements’ ability to expand its services along the eastern seaboard of the US, the firm said.

No financial details of the deal were revealed, but the acquisition would complete immediately, Condon said.
