First tanker carrying Kirkuk oil ready to sail from Ceyhan port
- The deal between Erbil, Baghdad and oil companies working in the region led to resumption of the oil flow
- Oil tanker Vallesina will be loaded 700,000 barrels of crude before leaving the port
- Oil flows started at 150,000 bpd; the aim is to increase up to 500,000 bpd by 2026
After a two and a half years of interrupted operations, Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline resumed oil flow on Saturday. The oil is at Türkiye’s port of Ceyhan, ready to be loaded to tankers to be taken to the international markets
