Fresh US sanctions hit Greek shipowner and gas carriers linked to Iranian LPG ‘magnate’
- Four gas carriers that have been associated with the LPG tanker fleet of Iranian LPG magnate Seyed Asadoollah Emamjomeh designated
- Move follows designation of six vessels affiliated with the fleet last month; Emamjomeh was designated in April 2025
- Greece-based shipowner Altomare also sanctioned; Ofac alleges shipowner transported 4m barrels of Iranian oil earlier this year
- Niovi, a VLCC owned by Altomare, was hijacked by Iran in May 2023
