Port of Savannah expansion to boost container handling by 45%
The Georgia Port Authority unveiled a 10-year, $2.5bn plan to expand container capacity from 5.5m teu to 8m teu, double rail capacity by 2020 and purchase new equipment, including eight ship-to-shore cranes and 64 rubber-tyred gantry cranes
