Chevron, Woodside plan to boost capacity at Canada’s Kitimat LNG
The duo are now seeking regulatory approval for a three-train, 18m tonnes per annum development, up from a previous plan for two trains and 10m tonnes per annum capacity, with the aim of boosting cost competitiveness over other global LNG projects
Shell-led competing project LNG Canada is also considering boosting capacity to 28m tonnes per annum in the second phase of its project
