IMO rejects push for immediate fuel switch in the Arctic
Aside from tackling greenhouse gas emissions the IMO has also committed to combatting black carbon emissions in the Arctic Sea. After identifying 41 measures that could help it get there, the IMO decided this week against forcing an immediate switch to distillate fuels for ships operating in the region
MEPC 74 did not support a proposal by NGOs to require ships to switch to distillate fuels in the Arctic
