ExxonMobil to supply natural gas for proposed new Alaskan LNG venture
Qilak LNG proposes to liquefy natural gas on Alaska’s North Slope and ship the LNG on ice-breaking tankers through Arctic waters directly to markets in east Asia. This would help it compete with other US LNG suppliers
The distance to Tokyo from Qilak LNG’s site on the North Slope is about 3,340 nautical miles, while Incheon would be 4,140 nm, Shanghai 4,310 nm and Manila 5,050 nm
