Maersk opts for Hyundai Mipo to build dual-fuel methanol feedership
The Denmark-flagged ship will operate in the Baltic Sea under Maersk's Sealand Europe brand. MAN Energy Solutions, Hyundai Engine and Machinery and Himsen will work on the engines. The vessel will be classed by the American Bureau of Shipping
The 2,100 teu vessel is expected to be delivered by mid 2023. Maersk has committed to using carbon-neutral methanol, which it has not yet sourced, as part of its longer-term commitment to being a net-zero company by 2050
