California ports delay dwell fee on improved container flows
Implementation of the financial penalties on carriers will be pushed back for a week until November 22
Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles said they have seen a combined 26% decline in aging cargo on the docks since the introduction of the Container Dwell Fee. The programme was set up by the port authorities and the US government to alleviate the severe logistics logjam
