Pipeline operators to develop VLCC-capable terminal off Texas
The project consists of onshore and offshore facilities, including a fixed platform located approximately 30 nautical miles off the coast of Brazoria County, Texas, in a water depth of around 115 ft. It is designed to load VLCCs at rates of some 85,000 barrels per hour, or up to approximately 2m barrels per day
EPP and Enbridge are among eight companies seeking to build VLCC-capable offshore crude oil export terminals off the coasts of Texas and Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico
