Singapore to boost LNG bunkering and digitalisation

The world’s top bunkering centre aims to have liquefied natural gas bunker capacity of up to 1m tonnes per annum from 2021. The city also signs an agreement to develop new fuels with Rotterdam and Japan

Singapore has acknowledged LNG as a key transitional fuel towards a low-carbon future and has set up a regulatory and infrastructure framework to support its bunkering. The government is also pushing hard to boost digitalisation efforts of small and medium bunkering firms by offering co-funding for pre-approved solutions
