Product tanker attacked off Nigeria
The locally trading vessel and its crew were reported safe. Piracy reporter MDAT-GOG urged vessels in the region to exercise caution. Maritime crime in the region usually picks up later in the year with the end of monsoon season
The Greek-owned product tanker Nefeli II was attacked about 80 nautical miles southwest of Brass, Nigeria. Dryad Global said the crew included Russians, Georgians and Ukrainians
