Few steam-driven LNG carriers will comply with new rules
MOL has 28 such carriers and is looking at ways of reducing energy through installing energy-saving devices, some of which can be very expensive
Since the majority of the fleet will not comply with EEXI and CII, which come into force on January 1, they will be forced to slow down, or be converted to floating storage and regasification units
